MICHAEL LANNON

Michael has been a coach with Rock Sports Academy for the past two years. Michael brings with him over eight years of player experience playing with a variety of community, club, and school teams at various levels. Currently, Michael coaches from K-2 all the way up to U18 and also coaches with other programs under the Rock Sports Academy banner including St. John’s Minor Basketball & Paradise Minor Basketball. Originally from Truro, Nova Scotia, Michael completed his Bachelors Degree in Public Policy at Mount Saint Vincent University (Bedford, NS) in 2018 and is currently enrolled at the University of British Columbia.

Throughout his life Michael has participated in a variety of cultural exchange programs that took him to Benin, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, and elsewhere. Michael has experience working with all three levels of government and currently works with the Government of Newfoundland. In his spare time Michael is a community advocate with First Voice, a multi stakeholder group advancing Truth and Reconciliation in St John’s.
